We believe the LAWN is the canvas for a lifetime of memories
Caretakers of your outdoor living space
Yes, we do what you would expect from a landscaping service, but our aim is more than just delivering a service for a fee. Our goal is to help you unlock the full potential of your outdoor living space. To help you create the memories that can only be made on the heart of your property.
We look at your lawn as the canvas on which your family memories are created. We don’t see a job that has to get knocked out as quickly as possible so we can get to the next one one, and we don’t see square footage that we have to maintain. When we see your lawn we see life, we see the jewel of your property.
Brandon Zapalac, Lawn and Life Founder
Brandon suggests that the company was unofficially founded when he cut his first lawn in 1992 at the age of 12 for $10. He remembers going above and beyond for his first customer…making sure the push mower made straight lines, meticulously edging the sidewalk, curb, flower beds, and around the house, pulling weeds, and sweeping up grass clippings. From there he picked up a few more customers and made a nice summer job out of it.
He always had a side hustle because he was a “jack of all trades.” When someone asked him to do something he said, “Sure, I can do that.” Brandon says he learned how to not be afraid to try new things by watching his dad. In Brandon’s mind, his dad knew how to do everything! Fast forward several years, Brandon continued doing side work, most of which was lawn and landscape related, until one day he looked at all the customers he had and started thinking about making it official.

In 2016, he laid the groundwork to get Lawn and Life up and running. The idea was simple, help people unlock the beauty, peace, and vibrancy of their outdoor living space. He has a passion for the outdoors and truly believes it’s more than a lawn. It’s a place to gather, build memories, play with kids, enjoy a cup of coffee, have a late night fire, or enjoy a cigar with friends (Brandon’s favorite!). Since that previous statement was too long for a slogan, “Beautiful Lawn, Beautiful Life” became the mantra for Lawn and Life.
Brandon lives in the Blue Bell, PA area with his wife and four children. They are active in their community and church. Most evenings and weekends are spent bussing the kids to sports, cheerleading, and friends houses. Periodically, Brandon gets to sit on the back patio enjoying a cigar.
